Research Activity in Experimental Nuclear Physics: Nuclear Structure with gamma and particle spectroscopy.
The research activity is conducted in various laboratories: Legnaro (INFN-Padova), GSI (Darmstadt), GANIL (France), Argonne (USA), CERN/ISOLDE, RIKEN (Japan)…, employing heavy ion reactions from few MeV/A to 600 MeV/A and large detection systems for spectroscopy studies.
The main focus is on collective modes of excitations (rotation and vibration) and on the coupling beetwen single particle and collective degrees of freedom. The activity concerns the development of analysis techniques for gamma and particle spectroscopy and in the phenomenological interpretation of the data. |
