Scientific research
I am Associate Professor at
the Physics Dept. of the University of Milano.
My research activity is focused on the characterization
of physical properties of interfaces at the nanometre scale using scanning
probe techniques based on Atomic Force Microscopy.
I am the scientific
coordinator of the AFM lab of the Molecular Beam and Nanocrystalline
Materials Laboratory (LGM), and of the Interdisciplinary Centre for
Nanostructured Materials and Interfaces (CIMaINa) of
the University of Milano. The AFM lab was settled in
1999 with my contribution; since then, my research activity has developed along
two parallel tracks, closely interwoven: the development and implementation of AFM-based techniques and protocols,
and their application to the
investigation of nanoscale systems.
More details about my
research activity and the AFM lab can be found on CIMaINa’s website.
