E.M. barrel test beam in 2000

A preliminary plot of the signal profile vs eta at phi=10 is available; look also at the comparison between 2000 and 1999 data (both are PS files).
Plots from the 300 GeV uniformity analysis from June 2000 data (PS file).

E.M. barrel test beam in 1999

Information on collected data can be found here. The complete run list is also available here or -- if you have AFS client installed -- from the file /afs/cern.ch/user/l/laremtb/public/runbook/runs.list.

Data analysis

The analyses being performed on test beam data are summarized here.

The Milano group has performed the study of the e.m. barrel uniformity at Ebeam=287 GeV.

At this energy, the back leakage and the energy lost in front of the presampler are sizable; an algorithm has been developed to account for these effects.

A study of the waveforms extracted from 1999 test beam data.

A study of the signal propagation is being performed at Brookhaven National Laboratory, by F.Lanni and S.Rescia; see the presentation by H.Takai (on April 25, 2000 at CERN).

A study of the reflections through the read-out chain and optimal filtering techniques are being carried out at Pittsburgh by W.Cleland and J.McDonald -- see the web page. You can also download the presentation by J.McDonald held on July 6, 2000 at CERN.

The user manual of EMTB analysis package version 0-2-19, and some other information, can be found under this page.
The latest versions 1-X do not have a corresponding manual; information can be found on AFS on the files /afs/cern.ch/atlas/testbeam/larg/dist/README-1 and /afs/cern.ch/atlas/testbeam/larg/dist/README-1-3.
